A third faction has emerged from the State Congress of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kwara State.
The parallel group, which claimed to have organized the genuine congress, has requested the national leadership of the party to accord recognition to its version of the congress.
Briefing reporters in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on Tuesday, the Factional Chairman APC Kwara North, Muhammad Zakiwa, said the other two parallel congresses did not meet the national directive of the party and has therefore, dragged the party leadership to court.
Meanwhile, members of the appeal committee for the State Congress on a courtesy call to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, noted that the congress went on smoothly and no complaints has been received so far.
