EndSARS protests in Abuja took a different face on Wednesday after vandals went on a rampage, smashing vehicles’ windows and toppling structures even as many fled for safety.
Some social media users say the attackers were sponsored to paint demonstrators as violent.
Rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, shared one of the videos and wrote in another tweet: “This rubbish can only happen in Abuja and not anywhere else in Nigeria. It’s too late to stop these protests with Govt hired thugs. #EndSWAT .”Social media activist, Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink, had said the protests in many locations across the country have been hijacked.
