Tributes have continued to pour in since the glorious exit of one of Nigeria’s iconic giants, Chief Ayodele George Ogunlade, a renowned broadcaster, former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, entrepreneur and a core Nationalist.
Ogunlade who rose through the ranks as a broadcaster to the very pinnacle of his media career as General Manager, Ondo State Broadcasting Service from 1976 – ’77 before serving as Permanent Secretary Ondo State Ministry of culture and Tourism, passed on to glory after a brief illness at 91 years in the early hours of September 26, 2022.
Many have poured accolades on the Ilupeju Ekiti born entrepreneur who served his people so diligently and dedicatedly that he attracted national invite to serve as Minister of National Planning in the late Gen. Sani Abacha regime 1995 to 1998.
Adegbemile as he is popularly known by his people, founded Adegbemile Enterprises Ltd. and Adegbemile Food industries in 1978 creating employment opportunities across board in the then Ondo State and later on Ekiti State after it was created.
Amongst those who have lent voice to condoling the family of the late Icon, are President Muhammadu Buhari, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, President TeamNigeria4Change and Lagos State Peace crusader, Otunba Bestman Jumbo-Nze and many other prominent Nigerians.
Chief Ogunlade is survived by his wives chief Folasade Ogunlade (Née Dare) and Rev Mojibola Ogunlade (Née oguntula) and Eight children of Three Daughters and Five Sons amongst whom is the Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency Representative Candidate, Hon. Ayoluyi Ogunlade, as well as many grandchildren.
