The President in his Virtual Spud-in Ceremony of the well admonished the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPC) and its partners to take due care of the environmental consequences of the oil exploration activities and to mitigate the negative effects.
The Insidesources online media gathered that Engr. Abdulahi A.Sule the Governor of Nasarawa state and the Group CEO of NNPC, Mr.Mele Kyari amongst others performed the Spud-in Ceremony on behalf of Mr. President.
Digitries at the event were, Gbenga Komolafe, Chief Executive officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission ( NUPRC), Emir of Lafia, Babe Muhammed, HRH ALH. ALiyu Dangiwa Ogiri Orume, Osuke of Obi who is the Chairman Traditional rulers of Obi Local government was there. Hon. Daniel Agyeno the Commissioner of Finance Budget and economic Planning were also present and they were both happy as development has finally come to their door steps as several opportunities will approach the community with economic growth and reduction of youth restiveness.
President Muhammadu Buhari remarked that the surrounding communities would particularly benefit from the value created by the exploration and eventual production activities.
