The President of Taraba Youths Abuja chapter had said, killings and kidnapping is not the best form of helping governance and the good people of Taraba state.
He added that, youths represent the future of our society, to draw the attention of the Federal Government and lend our voice on the high rate of banditry invasion in Southern Taraba and the return of kidnappers in Jalingo Metropolis which we all believe, this barbaric act is been orchestrated by few saboteurs and enemies of the State and also this afternoon, we the Youth will want to send a sound warning to those saboteurs who are bent on sabotaging the effort to reposition Taraba state in the landmark by the Executive Governor of Taraba State, to desist from such evil plans and join the Moving forward agenda of His Excellency.
Why addressing Journalist in Abuja, Comrade Caled commend the effort of His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas for laying a solid foundation for a better Taraba in his first 100 days of his tenure as the Governor of Taraba State.
According Caleb, It has been an incredible journey. We want to assure the Governor that we are 100% behind him to succeed. However, we will like to share the achievements and outline what Dr. Kefas still aim to accomplish in the days, months and years ahead.
Recalled that When Dr. Agbu Kefas took office 100 days ago, he made a commitment to bring positive change, progress, and prosperity to our beloved state.
The Moving forward administration of Dr. Kefas have initiated key infrastructure projects across the state, with a focus on improving our road networks, health care facilities, and educational institutions.
Progress has been made, but there is more to be done to ensure access to quality services for our citizens. We are also aware that:
Taraba state is blessed with fertile land, and His Excellency have taken steps to revitalize our agricultural sector.
He has provided support to farmers and introducing modern farming techniques.
However, we acknowledge that there is room for improvement in terms of food security and agricultural productivity.
The Governor have invested in Education which today we have a free Education system from Primary to Secondary school in Taraba State, 50% slashed of Taraba State University school fee which is key to success and Skill development programs, to empower our youths and equip them for the challenges of the future.
Access to quality health care is a fundamental right, and the Governor have made plans of expanding health care services to reach all the sixteen Local Government area of the State. All this effort is to ensure that every citizen has access to timely and affordable Health Care.
We want to inform you that His Excellency is aware that our state security remains a priority and he has collaborated with security agencies to address security challenges, but there is more work to be done to ensure the safety of our people most especially now that Southern Taraba has been bleeding for the past one year and the return of kidnapping in Jalingo Metropolis. He said.
Tarabans should not panic because His Excellency has assured us that he will enhance Security Surveillance and invest in modern surveillance technology and increase the presence of security personnel along our borders and curb illegal activities and ensure the safety of our communities.
With the collaboration of security Agencies he will strengthen our collaboration with federal security agencies to ensure a coordinated effort in securing our communities and addressing cross-border Community Involvement, Engaging local communities in border security efforts is crucial.
He further assured the good people of Taraba that he will work closely with community leaders and residents to promote vigilance and report suspicious actions, because Security is everybody’s business.
Therefore, we will not Condone any form of Saboteurs or group of people who refused to join hands with Dr. Agbu Kefas to move Taraba forward but bent on sabotaging his effort. We commend the Governor for a bold step in banning illegal mining in the State. We are also aware that those sponsoring this insecurity and high rate of banditry in the State are those big players who’s into illegal business. They are doing everything possible to sabotage the good intentions of Dr. Kefas, but who are into standing strong behind the Governor and urged those planning the downfall of the State to desist from their evil ways and join hands in moving Taraba forward, because Taraba is our home. He concluded.
