The Uturu Development Association (UDA), comprising of Uturu indigenes from Abia State residing in Abuja, has successfully conducted an election, resulting in the appointment of new executive committee members.
The UDA, also known as the Uturu Development Association, is now led by its newly elected Chairman, Comrade Jude Okejiri. He emphasized that the election outcome reflects the will of the Uturu people in Abuja. Comrade Jude’s emergence, along with the new executive members, has brought joy to UDA members. In an interview with journalists, the Chairman mentioned that plans are already underway to unite all Uturu members in Abuja and to re-establish the Umanu meetings, providing a platform for Uturu residents in Abuja to connect with their community.
Comrade Jude highlighted that new innovations will be introduced through the offices of the Secretary and the Public Relations Officer (PRO), headed by Mr. Mbah Onyekechi. These initiatives aim to digitize processes and amend the UDA constitution. Efforts will also be made to reintegrate members who have become estranged from the association.
He assured that under his leadership, the Uturu community will experience a revitalized era. Plans are being developed to acquire properties in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to accommodate members. Within one year of implementing a united working strategy with his team, significant results are anticipated. The electoral Chairman who oversaw the UDA election declared the results free and fair, with the outcome jointly signed by:
