Ex-Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, November 16, 2016.
According to multiple reports, Kalu, who was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from where he moved to found the Progressives People Alliance (PPA), defected for reasons he gave as ‘pressure from good-wishers, friends and associates.
Welcoming Orji to the party, the ruling party APC, rolled out the red carpet for Kalu, who was well and warmly received by Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led National Working Committee of the party at its National Secretariat in Abuja, Nigeria.
