Gunmen have kidnapped ex-minister of foreign affairs, Bagudu Hirse in Kaduna n Sunday, November 20, 2016.
The Police Command in Kaduna confirmed the abduction on Sunday, November 20, 2016, saying some unidentified gunmen reportedly kidnapped Hirse in front of the house of President Buhari’s nephew, Mamman Daura.
Meanwhile, it was further reported in some quarters that Abba Kyari had escaped being abducted by the unknown gunmen, who stormed President Buhari’s nephew home in Kaduna.
The abduction was confirmed on the same day by the Command’s Public Relation officer, ASP Aliyu Usman.
The police spokesperson, however, said no arrest had been made so far, but the command had intensified efforts to track down the gunmen and free the former minister unhurt.
In his words: “The command will not sit and allow criminals to take laws into their hands. We will make sure that we arrest those criminal and they will face the law.
“We are committed to protecting lives and property of the people. We also appeal to the public for useful any information that will lead to the arrest of the criminals,” Usman said.
