Now that it is apparent that the people of the State of Osun will not risk good governance for uncertainties as the All Progressive Congress candidate in the upcoming gubernatorial election in the State started his re-election campaign in Ile – Ife, the home town of Mr. Iyiola Omisore the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Omisore has run to President Goodluck Jonathan for what he called “serious” assistance.
Omisore, dressed in light purple “agbada”, was driven to the Villa around 1pm on Wednesday in a Federal Government-owned black Toyota Land Cruiser. He was unaccompanied on the visit, which lasted for about 30 minutes.
Omisore declined to speak with State House correspondents on issues discussed at the meeting. But inside source said that he came to the villa to express his fear and seeks President’s “serious” assistance in making sure that he is declared the winner of the August 9th poll in the State of Osun.
However, our source did not state the response of President Jonathan.
As at that time when Mr. Omisore was begging President Jonathan for “serious” assistance, thousands of his kinsmen are gathered at the Government Technical School, Ile – Ife in solidarity and support for Aregbesola as the governor starts his campaign.
Earlier, Governor Aregbesola has paid a courtesy visit to Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade in his palace and without mincing words, the monarch endorsed Aregbesola for second term, saying that his town; Ile Ife has never had it so good under any administration.
