Have you heard? Sports Company Giants, Nike, have unveiled plans to launch a Hijab Collection aimed at Muslim Athletes.
The “Nike Pro Hijab” is a lightweight, polyester sports hijab.
Nike says the Nike Pro Hijab is the result of about a year of work and that both professional and everyday hijab-wearing athletes helped to create the final product.
It added by saying that “the final, pull-on design is constructed from durable single-layer Nike Pro power mesh which it calls its “most breathable fabric.” The hijab will come in dark, neutral colors.
Mixed reactions have trailed the announcement with some athletes claiming the design offers nothing new.

Nike said that the Pro Hijab will be available early next year.
