As the local government election in Jigawa state draws near, the Peoples Democratic Party in the state has suffered another setback as Police arrest its leader and former governor of the state Sule Lamido for allegedly making statements that could cause violent in the forthcoming local government election in the state.
The Jigawa state government filled a report against the former governor claiming the Lamido while addressing his people’s democratic party PDP and its supporters penultimate week made remarks that are capable of engineering his loyalists to invoke mayhem at the forth coming LG polls
The police spokesman for zone A, DSP Muhammad Sambo Sokoto who confirmed the arrest of Sule Lamido noted that the arrest followed receipt of a petition from the Jigawa state government dated 27th April on allege incitement speech capable to create breakdown of peace, law and order in the state.
