MOUND SLIDE KILLS FOUR SIBLINGS IN LAGOS

Tragedy strucked the home of the Odias at their Magodo home in  Lagos, as a their three bedroom bungalow building collapsed killing four siblings.
The incident according to reports made available to newsmen says a mound slide washed down by rain in the early hours of saturday led to the collapse of the apartment located at No. 50 Otun Araromi Street, Orisa, Magodo, behind Magodo Phase 1 at about 4:50 am

He said the collapse building  buried four children who were later brought out of the ruins dead, while the father of the children, Godwin Odia escaped death as he was out of the house few minutes before the tragedy struck.

The four siblings Isayo Odia, 23; Clinton Odia, 13; Da-silver Odia 15 and Endurance Odia, 10. According to reports are all dead before the arrival of the  officials of the emergency management.

The General Manager, LASEMA, Micheal Akindele  said four dead bodies were recovered after digging through the sand and another slide occurred six houses away from the incident site about 10.05am on another bungalow, but the occupant ran out immediately for safety.

Akindele revealed that arrangement was on to release the deceased to the Odia family or to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit, SEHMU, as at the time of filing this report.
