AMBODE SACK VIO FROM LAGOS ROADS

Lagos State Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos has stopped Officers Vehicle Inspection of (VIO) from carrying out their operations on roads in the state with immediate effect.

Governor Akinwunmi made this known while speaking at the opening ceremony of 33rd Synod of Diocese of Lagos, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), and he also charged political and religious leaders to continue to tow the path of service to humanity

The stoppage by the governor we gathered was as a result of series of complaints from motorists about the alleged illegal operations of the state VIO officials

Speaking at the Synod the governor said “politics in the real sense of it should only be about selfless service to the people “Serving, be it in government, churches, mosques or wherever, is like a clarion call from God and for me, I believe that there is no way I can just give back to humanity for the greater blessings that God has endowed me than just serving and serving selflessly without any inkling of wanting to get a return back from anybody”
