High Court in Ikeja Lagos was on Thursday thrown into confusion as a witness, slumped and died in the court.
The decease whose identity was not disclosed was said to be in his 30s was testifying in a land dispute case before Justice O.A. Olayinka when he slumps.
An eye witness at the scene said, “Before the case was called for trial, he started coughing and gasping and had to leave the courtroom. He was vomiting a lot of blood and people were afraid to go close to him”
“He collapsed on the corridors of the courtroom and a medical team came in with an ambulance to take his body away.
“His lawyer informed Justice Olayinka of his client’s death and she immediately stopped proceedings for the day.”
