The Minister of Agriculture Audu Ogbe has raised an alarm over eight ships fully loaded with low quality rice is being imported to Nigeria from Singapore.
The minister who raised the alarm at the mid-term town-hall meeting of the federal government in Abuja on Tuesday, said the said ships are on their way to Nigeria through Benin Republic.
According to the minister, the federal government would not allow the importation of sub-standard rice or any other good into Nigeria anymore
