KWARA UNITED DEFENDER COLLAPSE AND DIE DURING TRAINING

Management and Players of Kwara United FC has been thrown into mourning as one of their defender Saka Azeez collapse and died during  training Friday morning.

Azeez who joined Kwara United from Zamfara United slumped during training at the Kwara State Stadium complex and died despite several attempts to resuscitate him.

According to his teammates, Azeez has never showed any sign or symptom of any sickness before the Friday morning tragic incident.

The defender report says has played only one game for Kwara United this season, at State FA Cup level.

His body has been deposited at the morgue and he is expected to be buried very according to Islamic rites.

Meanwhile the John Obuh Kwara United FC have cancelled training till Monday as a mark of respect for the dead player.

Kwara United coach John Obuh who described Azeez as a good player has refused to make any further comment on the issue as at the time of this report.

Nigerian professional football clubs had  in the last 12 months have lost good numbers of their players all being defenders

It started In October 2016 with Shooting Stars defender defender Joseph Izu who was shot dead by men of the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Rivers State at the Okarki community, in the Ahoada West area of Rivers State, three months later, Gombe United’s Uzama Douglas also a defender was killed by suspected cultist in Benin.
