OSHODI CRISIS, AMBODE MAY BAN UNIONISM IN OSHODI

Information reaching Inside sources now has disclosed that the Lagos State Government is putting up plans to ban transport unionism in Oshodi.

The proposed ban according to rumour is believed to be a reaction to the recent death of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) chieftain cum politician, Rasaq Bello, popularly known as Hamburger.

The late Hamburger who was the Treasurer of Tricycle Operators of the NURTW’s Lagos State was murdered by suspected rival gang members in the Shogunle area of Oshodi on Monday, May 29, 2017, when violence broke out at the venue of the primaries election of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His death led to violent clashes in the area as cars were reportedly burnt by his supporters.
