Operatives of the Lagos state Police Command have arrested a 45-year Lucien Tosume who is suspected to be a ritualist, for being in possession a human skull.
Tosume we gathered was arrested penultimate week following an intelligence report from Iraye village in Sagamu local government area of Ogun state.
According to Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, the suspect who specializes in the sale of human skull, was accosted by police officers who disguised as buyers.
Tosume after negotiation agreed to sell a skull for N150,000, but the intelligence officers further renegotiate to buy the skull for the sum of N81,000 which was okay for the suspect.
The suspect who confessed to the crime after he arrested said he sells fresh skulls for up to for N1 million.
Cole further disclosed that investigations are however ongoing to ascertain where the suspects gets the human parts from.
According to Cole the suspect will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, for further investigation while he advised members of the public, parents, and guardians to be watchful of their environment and keep eye on children and know their whereabouts at all time.
