The Delta State Police Command has paraded a 12-year-old boy for allegedly robbing and killing his landlady at Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State.
The boy was paraded yesterday alongside other suspected criminals for various offences in the state.
The Delta State Police Boss Mr. Zanna Mohammed, briefed Journalists yesterday that over 60 suspected criminals have been arrested in the last three weeks for crimes like kidnapping, robbery, murder, cultism and rituals.
According to Zanna the teenager had confessed that he committed the act because a cult group told him that one of the conditions for initiation was that he must have been involved in a criminal act.
Mr. Zanna while briefing Journalist disclosed that one of the kidnap suspects, Alhaji Sa’adu, a national of Niger Republic, residing at Okpanam community in Oshimili North Local Government Area, was arrested by the Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Squad, SAKCCS, in conjunction with men of Eagle Vigilante groups of Abraka Market, Asaba, over his complicity in most kidnap cases within Asaba and its environs.
Meanwhile investigation is going on based on the Teenage confession but the Police said the suspect was connected to the kidnapping syndicates operated by suspected herdsmen and an ally of Musa Mohammed, alias Musa 1000, earlier arrested by the police.
