NYSC SET FOR TWO WEEKS WARNING STRIKE

Inside Sources have authoritatively gathered that the National Youth Service Corps members will be going on a two weeks warning strike if the federal government failed to fulfil its promise to increase their allowance.

According to sources, the youth corpers have issued out a warning strike which will begin on the 1st September through 14th September, 2017.

This according to sources is to implore the Federal Govt. of Nigeria to keep to it promise of increasing the Corp members allowance (Allawee) from #19800 to #49800, starting from August 2017.

The source who spoke under anonymity said “as such it was agreed during the National Corpers Forum(NCF) meeting held in Abuja, that if at the end of August,  Corper’s allowance is not increased to #49800, NYSC will embark on a two week warning strike”.

The source further disclosed that during this period Corps members nationwide will adhere strictly to the following:

That Corps members nationwide will not go near their PPA or carry out their primary assignment in any form.

That all CDS activities will be suspended indefinitely.

That Corps members will not put on their khaki or anything relating to NYSC kits
