Information flowing in now has confirmed that former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Mr. Hussaini Akwangahas been kidnaped by unknown gunmen in Nasarawa state.
Akwangahas who served as Minister during the Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration was abducted at the early hour of Wednesday by gunmen at his farm on Wamba Road in Akwanga about 46km away from Lafia,the Nasarawa State capital.
The Nasarawa state police command’s spokesman Idirisu who confirmed the abduction said the Nasarawa state commissioner of Police Abubakar Sadiq Bello, has mobilized policemen in charge of operations to search for the abducted former minister
Meanwhile, a family source told newsmen that the kidnappers had contacted them, demanding an unspecified amount as ransom.
