MONKEY POX: SIX CASES SUSPECTED IN ASABA

Few days after the world health organization declared Lagos and Ekiti monkey pox free, information coming in from Asaba, the Delta state capital has  revealed that six suspected cases of monkey virus pox has been detected in the oil rich state.

The Delta state commissioner for health Dr Nicholas Azinge while confirming the development to channels television news said the blood samples of the suspected patients have been sent to the lab for confirmation.

According to Dr. Azinge, three of the suspected patients have been treated and discharged,while two are still being treated at the federal medical centre in Asaba.
