MILITANTS BEHEADS SIX HERDSMEN IN PLATEAU

Suspected members Irigwe militant group have said to have killed and beheaded six Fulani herdsmen in Kuri village in Bassa local government area of Plateau state.

According to reports, the militants attacked the herdsmen on Sunday afternoon while grazing their cattle at Kuri village in Bassa LGA, macheted total of two hundred and thirty-two herds of cattle and then kill the herdsmen, and went away with their heads

Meanwhile, the chairman Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Plateau state, Nura Muhammad Abdullahi in a statement released few days ago condemned the killing and beheading of its members.

Abdullahi in the statement said “We wholeheartedly condemned the killings of all innocent lives, destruction of properties and rustling of Fulani cows. We also observed the unbalanced in reporting the incident by the media, where they neglected and refused to interview or contact the Fulani community to capture the killings of the six deceased, 40 sheep and 9 cows machete to death and the 232 rustled cows by the Irigwe militia. We are peace-loving people, therefore, calling on Plateau state Government and security operatives to investigate, fetch out the killers and take necessary action that will stop future reoccurrence”
