Even after the burial, the Directorate of Public Prosecution of the Nigerian Police Force has again informed the popular singer Davido that he is not totally free over his alleged involvement in the death of his friend Tagbo Umeike.
Going by the information made public by Mr Imohinmi Edgal, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, of the outcome of the investigation has been duplicated and sent to DPP for advice and they have sent a reply based on the advice.
According to Edgal the DPP report advised that more investigations should be carried out on the matter to determine the involvement of all the suspects on the matter which he said the police are still working on.
Edgal according to information coming from the police has ordered further investigations on Davido and his aides over the circumstances that led to the death of late Umeike which disclosed that re-invitation of Davido had to do with fresh facts which he already denied knowing who took the deceased and dumped him at the General Hospital Island.
Edgal in the information said Davido needed to explain why he denied knowing who took the deceased to the hospital, whereas he was the person that directed his driver and escort to take the deceased to the hospital and abandon him there because the CCTV camera footage showed the vehicles that brought the deceased to the hospital and the same vehicle was traced to Davido’s house at Lekki Phase one.
