A member of a vigilante group in Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina has been reported dead as a result of failed bulletproof charm.
The Public Relations Officer of the Katsina Police Command DSP, Gambo Isa disclosed this in a statement that Audu Maikare while testing his bullet proof charm killed himself during the process.
According to Isa, Maikare went to the house of the vigilante group leader, Samaila Rabiu in Dugul village for an occasion and in the process of using the dane gun to test a bullet proof charm given to him, he shot himself and died instantly.
Isa in the statement said “When the police patrol team got the information on the incident and rushed to the village, Maikare had already died and taken away by his relatives for burial”.
Isa therefore called on members of the public to desist from patronizing fortune-tellers and soothsayers who give their clients such local charms and jazz.
