Despite zoning the People’s Democratic Party’s presidential ticket to the northern Nigeria, the Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose again insists that nothing can stop him from contesting for president in the 2019 presidential race.
Fayose while feeding questions from Journalists said even if PDP zoned the party chairmanship slot to his room he will still go ahead with his ambition of contesting as the president of the federal republic of Nigeria in the forth-coming presidential election.
Using the example of the former speaker of the house of representative Aminu Tambuwal, Fayose said the Speakership position was zoned to Southwest but the Southwest lost it to the zone it was not zoned to which make Tambuwal emerge as the Speaker.
Fayose in his words said “It is the presidency that orders things. When I become President in 2019, I will reorder those things. Nothing can stop me from contesting. ‘Even if they pick the party’s chairman from my family; even if they pick my son as party chairman, I will contest”
