LOOK INTO BACKLOGS OF SALARIES, CNPP TELLS NEWLY ELECTED KWARA LG CHAIRMEN

The Congress of Nigeria Political Parties, (CNPP) Kwara State chapter has congratulated the newly elected chairmen across the 16 Local Governments in the state on their success in the just concluded election, urging them to look into the backlogs of salaries and make it a priority.

The Kwara state chapter of CNPP made this known in a statement co-signed by the State Chairman Alhaji Adebayo A. Lawal and the State Secretary, Prince Olufemi Adeleke (JP) over the success of the electioneering poll.

 CNPP in the statement “Now that we have the truly elected chairmen in our various local governments, we congratulate and urge them to look seriously into the backlog of salaries and entitlements being owed workers and the retirees at the Local Government levels for immediate settlements”.

The group while praying for the safety and smooth running of their administration said “May the Almighty God guard and guide the new administration aright in meeting their statutory obligations to the entire populace”.

CNPP in the statement made available to Inside Sources further congratulate the Kwara state Independent Electoral Commission for their effort in making the election a hitch free one. “We are therefore happy to congratulate KWSIEC under the leadership of Dr Uthman Ajidagba and the entire members of the commission for the achievement of this great feat in the face of all daunting odds.

Despite the fact that some cynics in the name of vituperative opposition in the state had wrongly voiced reservation on several occasions, threatening fire and brimstone should they lose, we commend KWSIEC for providing a level playing field for all participants in the states to exhibit their popularity among the electorates” they said.
