Fifty-two people are currently cooling their heels in the Kwara State Police Command for various electoral offences in the just concluded local government election in the state.
The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Lawan Ado while addressing newsmen at the police headquarters in Ilorin, the state capital that the arrested persons were accused of offences ranging from possession of dangerous weapons, snatching of ballot boxes, and participating in unlawful protest.
The Police commissioner while parading the suspects at the state command, said the suspects were arrested in different parts of Kwara State during the election.
The commissioner however hinted that the case was still being investigated by the police command and that the suspects would soon be charged to court.
