SCORES DIE AS BOMB BLAST KILL WORSHIPPERS IN ADAMAWA MOSQUE

About fifteen people have been confirmed dead at the early hours of Tuesday following a bomb explosion in a mosque in Mubi, area of Adamawa State, North-east Nigeria.

The bomb blast according to information gathered by inside Sources occurred when the Muslim faithfuls were having prayers in the mosque.
Meanwhile the governor of Adamawa state Muhammed Umar Jibrilla Bindow while condemning the ugly incident said “We will continue to ensure that our people are protected and given a sense of security which is the most important responsibility of any government”
Governor Bindow in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Press and Media Affairs, Martins Dickson, Bindow expressed described the incident as “an act of wickedness perpetrated by criminals who are bent on destroying the hard earned peace in Mubi and other parts of the state.”
The governor while assuring of a stepped up security in Mubi and its environs has called for calm among residents and indigenes that his government would not rest until those behind the wicked act are brought to book.
The governor who in the statement promised that all those injured in the incident would be given adequate medical attention said the bomb blast is undoubtedly a setback to the peace and calm that had returned to Mubi which was destroyed by Boko Haram.
