MOTHER ARRESTED AS POLICE DECLARE WOMAN WANTED OVER LESBIANISM

A situation of mystery and extremely difficult experience happened on Monday at Orelope area of Egbeda city in Lagos, after a 66 years old grandmother Mrs Dorcas Ogunbanjo, made a very surprising confessions under duress while in police custody at Area F Police division about how her daughter Bukola Ologunja, practiced lesbianism before she traveled abroad.

The Nigerian Police questioned the woman in March this year about the allegations of her daughter being involved in same sex acts and she was released under the condition to provide her daughter, Mrs Dorcas disappeared after her release and when she failed to report to the police station she was finally arrested yesterday November 12 2015.Mrs. Dorcas Ogunbanjo
According to Mrs, Dorcas Ogunbanjo, “I knew about Bukola’s homosexual act only one time in her 20s and I curbed her from the act back then and there was no other incident of her lesbianism that I know of”.

An arrest warrant for Bukola Ologunja was issued back in March 2015 for her alleged involvement in the act of Homosexualism.

The declaration was as a result of a complaint lodged at Area F Police division, Ikeja Lagos, by the community leader, Chief Oloba.

In the statement made to the police, Chief Oloba got tipped off from the Ologunja family and followed up on the tip about the alleged homosexual activities, which parts of it occured in Canada, and was substantiated with photographic evidence.

Same-sex sexual activity is illegal in Nigeria. The maximum punishment in the twelve northern states that have adopted Shari’a law is death by stoning while in the south under the secular criminal laws, the maximum punishment is 14 years’ imprisonment.

The Police added that efforts are on to locate Bukola Ologunja up on her entry to Nigeria because Both male and female same-sex sexual activity is illegal in Nigeria.
