Crème-de-la-crème in Osun and Kwara states respectively will penultimate week gather as the apex socio-cultural association for Igbomina indigenes of Kwara and Osun states Asepo Omo igbomina, has resolved to honour Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji. (Dr.) Abdulfatah Ahmed with an Award for Leadership Excellence.
Inside Sources however gathered that the award which was endorsed by all the indigenes of igbomina home and abroad, cutting across all segments of opinion poll in the Society is to celebrate Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed as a blessing to the people of Kwara state and Igbomina in particular as a result of his excellent governance and exemplary leadership in the last six years.
The occasion according to information gathered would hold under the Chairmanship of His Royal Majesty, Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi, while the Chairperson would be Olori Abosede Oyedotun, Olori Orangun of ila-Orangun.
Chief Adebisi Akande, Asiwaju of Ila Orangun, former Governor of Osun State would be Guest of honour, while all first class Obas and other traditional rulers in Igbomina land would be Royal Fathers of the day.
Prominent Fathers of the day include, first military Governor of Kwara State Sir Brig. Gen. David Bamigboye, OFR, and Asiwaju of Igbomina/Ekiti Land, Chief (Dr.) Raimi Oladimeji, OFR, jagunmolu of igbomina/Ekiti land and founder of Al-Hikmah University and, former Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Tafa Balogun, CFR.
