Nigerians should prepare for a worst queue at filling stations as the probability of having a fresh fuel shortage is by the corner following a warning on Wednesday by the Niger Delta Avengers that it will launch attacks on the country’s oil sector in the next few days.
The Niger Delta Avengers in 2016 cuts the Nigeria’s crude production to the worst in last 30 years of production from the peak level 2.2 million barrels per day to barely 1 million barrels daily when it attacks the country’s oil facility.
The militant group from information gathered so far wants a lion share of the proceeds generated in the Nigeria’s oil sector to be used for the development and sustainability of the poor communities in the Niger Delta regions.
The Niger Delta Avengers who had sometime last year ended attacks on the country’s most dependable source of income suddenly made a U-turn and plan to launch a fresh attack on the deep sea operations of the multinationals in the next few days.
However, information received states that facilities targeted include Bonga Platform, Agbami, EA Field, Brittania-U Field and Akpo Field.
