Another blow is coming on the face of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) with the recent communique issued on Saturday by the chairperson of the six local government areas in Kaduna state Central Senatorial District which produced Senator Shehu Sani into the Nigerian Senate.
The local government chairmen in the Kaduna Central Senatorial District after Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s failed attempt to suspend Senator Sani over the weekend gathered and rejected Sani and subsequently endorsed Governor El-Rufai’s political adviser Uba Sani, for the 2019 Kaduna central senatorial ticket.
Meanwhile going by the gist gathered from the founder of Silverbird Group, Senator Ben-Murray Bruce, he said the People’s Democratic Party PDP will be willing to welcome Sani to the party.
Senator Bruce who took to his official twitter handle said Shehu Sani is an asset to Nigeria and a pride to the Nigerian Senate.
Bruce in the tweet said “I have traveled all over Nigeria and very few Nigerians can match his intellect. If APC doesn’t want him, the PDP Nigeria wants him. Nigeria wants him. Democracy needs him. He’s a specimen of patriotism”
Sani who in his reaction described the rejection as Governor El-Rufai’s antics said the Governor resorted to organizing fake endorsement meetings after repeatedly failing to suspend him from the party.
He however added that the people of his constituency are solidly behind him irrespective of the governor’s move.
