Popular Nigerian comedian cum film maker Ayo Makun known for his stage name ‘AY’ who in recent times has set a new pace in the Nigerian movie industry is as you read this story, on location for another block buster film which is titled ‘Yoruba Demons’.
Makun made this announcement on his Instagram page when he posted a short video of the cast and crew members at the location in Abuja with the caption “today marks the beginning of another history to be made. Let the shoot begin.”
Yoruba Demons from gist gathered so far will feature the duo of Omo Baba Olowo (OBO) David Adeleke popularly known as Davido and the La Fete crooner Falz whose real name is Folarin Falana.
The duo of Davido and Falz will feature in the Yoruba Demons alongside veteran actors like Ramsey Nouah; Segun Arinze, Ireti Doyle, Jide Kosoko and Francis Duru, Osas Ighodaro, Damilola Adegbite, Odunlade Adekola, Nancy Isime and Lilian Esoro.
Other crew members on the set are Ay’s younger brother Yomi Makun popularly known as Yomi Casual who will be in charge of the costume department alongside Abuja based designer Seyi Vodi, women’s wear NHN Couture, the House of Tara studio has been employed as the makeup artiste on set.
Yoruba Demons was screen written by Anthony Joseph and will be directed by the director of the 2017 historical film Kada River Toka McBaror
