The Nigerian society of Cinematographers and the film industry in Nigeria again has been thrown into mourning following the death announcement of a seasoned and popular Cinematographer Ademola Ariyo who died of kidney failure.
Olanrewaju Malcolm who has been sharing photos of him on his hospital bed, soliciting for help on social media for him, took to his Instagram page Thursday night to break the sad news after a failed attempt to raise 12 million naira for Ariyo’s kidney transplant abroad.
Malcom on his Instagram page wrote “It’s so sad to say this at this point, but people, Ademola Ariyo eventually gave up life today. For those that supported him, we pray God almighty will bless you all abundantly. And for those that wanted to help but couldn’t, we pray God almighty bless you as well. May his soul rest in peace”
Ariyo who was the brain behind clean pictures in some Nollywood movies like Osuofia in London, Blood money, Igodo, Goge Africa and more, could no longer cope but had given up his spirit when the kidney failure got to stage 5.
