Obasanjo And Atiku Hug Each Other As They Meet Unexpectedly

Nigeria’s former President Olusegun Obasanjo November 4 visited ex-military ruler of the country Ibrahim Babangida, who days ago returned from medical treatment in Germany.

According to The Nation, at the Minna International Airport, Obasanjo had an encounter with his estranged deputy Atiku Abubakar. However, the two were said to have reconciled and given each other a hug.

Atiku, who is to run for presidency in 2015 elections, visited Babangida in Minna and planned to attend the presidential declaration of Sam Nda-Isaiah of All Progressive Congress (APC) during his stay.

The meeting was unexpected as Obasanjo sighted the former vice president at the airport. Atiku, who was already seated, awaiting clearance for his flight, stopped the pilot to make his say to the ex-President.

He headed straight to the car ferrying OBG out of the airport and the two leaders hugged each other.
It would be recalled that Babangida arrived back to the home country on November 1 and expressed his gratitude to all Nigerians concerned about his health.

IBB underwent a bone related surgery in Germany, which required long recovery period making him stay abroad for around 8 weeks.
