Nigeria’s government has begun the payment of allowances to former militants as the oil-richest in Niger Delta. On the other hand, government moves a motion as an attempt to curb new attack which has severely affected oil production in Niger Delta of Nigerian.
The oil production in the country which that hovers 1.8million barrels per day from 2.5mpd on account of the attacks.
Though, federal governments as provide amnesty scheme to empowering and pay most of Niger Delta which include tuition for those studying abroad.
However, some elders and other stakeholders added that Niger Delta are expecting the amnesty tuition to be paid tonight to 30,000 youths as part of involved in the scheme.
Source said, the Central Bank of Nigeria has began N65,000 as salary due to each of the beneficiaries, although, the exercise of the payment as commence once allowance and in-training fees for each delegates as confirm verification exercise.
Elders and stakeholders buttress that some outstanding allowances would be paid in batches, because May allowances was being paid while those for June and July would be paid later.
