Transformers: The Last Knight -New Trailer

Paramount Pictures’ Transformers series kicked off in 2007 with Michael Bay’s first directorial effort following the Robots in Disguise. The film was a hit among moviegoers – though it didn’t quite land with critics – and earned more than $700 million when all was said and done. As a result, the film has been followed by a series of sequels – Revenge of the Fallen , Dark of the Moon , and Age of Extinction – that have continued to do well enough at the box office, though critic and fan reception has declined over the years. Now, Paramount and Bay are returning to the franchise with Transformers: The Last Knight .

However, the studio took a different approach for the fifth film in their blockbuster franchise, establishing a writer’s room led by Oscar-winning scribe Akiva Goldsman, which inspired Bay to return for The Last Knight . It was unclear how the new approach would affect the fifth Transformers movie, though fans got their first glimpse from The Last Knight teaser trailer , as well as subsequent promos introducing baby dinobots and new character Izabella (Isabela Moner) . Now, fans will get a chance to see more of Transformers: The Last Knight when a new trailer debuts this week.

Deluxe Digital Cinema sent the two minute and 25 second trailer to theaters in time to be attached to Disney’s latest live-action film, Beauty and the Beast , which arrives this Friday. Furthermore, Trailer Track is reporting the trailer is an extended version of the clip released this past weekend during the Kids’ Choice Awards, but it’s unclear if or when the new Transformers promo will debut online.
