A 100 level Student of the faculty of business administration, university of Lagos has committed suicide after been disgraced by her roommates for stealing make up and clothes.
The student identified as Ayibiri Ayomide of the department of Employee Relations and Human Resource Management, allegedly took sniper (insecticide) when her roommates disgraced her publicly after some missing items in their room was found in her bag.
A student who spoke under anonymity disclosed that an incident happened in her Amina Hostel room on Thursday which involved a missing make-up and some clothes of another girl in the same room.
Some of the belongings of the fellow roommate was found scattered in Ayomide’s three different bags, make up in one bag and clothes in another bag, her roommates disgraced her publicly calling her so many names relating to a thief.
The student further disclosed that Ayomide’s Mum came down the next day to settle the issue and paid for the make-up which was valued at #2000
Ayomide, we gathered left the hostel and went home on Friday morning only for her Mum to see her in a critical state later in the evening.
Ayomide could not explain what had happened to her but to stretched her hand to the bottle of the sniper she took.
Immediately her mum gave her palm oil and was latter rushed to a medical centre at ebute metta, and latter referred to Luth Ayo gave up in LUTH around 7pm yesterday.
