DRAMA IN MORTUARY AS CORPSE HELD HIS BROTHER’S HAND

There was a drama at the mortuary complex of Plateau Specialist Hospital Jos, when a dead man who was been dressed up for burial held tight to the hand of brother.

The corpse identified as Choji Zeng, according to eye witness grabbed the hand of his younger brother, Mr. Gyang Zeng, while family members who had participated in the washing of the corpse ran out in panic when they saw the dead Choji holding tight to Gyang’s hand.

The confusion attracted mortuary attendants, who came in and separated the brothers,

Choji and Gyang according to reports had lived together at Ungwan Juma’a Abattoir in Jos metropolis until Choji, died at the 35 after a brief illness.

Narrating the incident, Gyang said after bathing his brother, he was dressing him with white cloth, when the corpse grabbed his hands. it was a mortuary attendant that forced the dead hands off him.

Eye witnesses  also confirmed that when the deceased held his hands, he asked him: “Choji, why did you hold my hand, you want me to join you or what?”

One Mr. Benjamin Oche, a neighbor of the two brothers, who also witnessed the incident, said before Choji died, both brothers had a misunderstanding over the land they inherited from their parents, but however, no foul play is suspected in Choji’s death.
