OKAWUCHI NETS 2 GOALS, SEALS VICTORY FOR ZAMALEK

Nigerian born Stanley Okawuchi scored a goal which gave Zamalek FC of Egypt a winning start on Friday in the CAF Champions’ League group phase.

Okawuchi a five-time champions scored twice in the second half to secure victory for Zamalek over CAPS United of Zimbabwe during 2-0 match day 1” decider at the Mediterranean city, Alexandria.

Although there were many chances wasted and many saves from the CAPS goal keeper, the Group B match was goalless until the second half when the goal keeper Edmore Sibanda made mistakes that led to the two goals which gave Zamalek victory at the Borg Al Arab Stadium

Okawuchi scored with a header from “Shikabala” cross that Sibanda appeared to have covered but allowed to slip from his grasp. Slow-reacting Sibanda was found wanting again seven minutes later from that time, allowing Okawuchi to nod a corner into the net
