Christian in Kaduna State are now living under serious threat to life as comment made by the state governor Malam Nasir El-rufai has confirmed the news flying in the air for some days now.
According to the gist making waves on the social Media El-rifai has mandated Christians in Kaduna to participate in the on-going Ramadan fasting with their muslem brethren in the state or face whatever consequence thereafter.
El-rufai in a statement released two days ago said “today being the second day of Ramadan, the Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufia wishes to inform the general public, especially Christian to also observe the Ramadan alongside the Muslims. This is to make for peace and harmonious coexistence.The government will not be responsible for the security of any Christian who behaves irresponsibly by eating while Muslims are fasting. Last year when a Christian youth tried that in Kakuri, he was attacked and the attackers were not brought to book because they were incited by the irresponsible behavior of the Christian victim.
Christian must understand that eating in the month of Ramadan is hate behavior and incitement as well. Government will not hesitate to arrest those guilty of incitement and hate habits”.
