The Leader of Boko Haram Abubakar Shekau in a new video released has claimed for the attack and abduction of 20 female Police officers on a joint police/military convoy in Maiduguri penultimate week.
A report broke out penultimate week that the terrorist group opened fire on a joint army/police patrol escorting relief materials and a burial party at Abari-Dalwa village on the Maiduguri/Damboa road last Tuesday
Inside Sources gathered that the terrorists ambushed a police lorry carrying the corps of a female police sergeant, Rahila Antikiriya of the State Investigative Bureau (SIB) in charge of mines and explosives killing a police Sergeant Bala Tiishe of the state investigation bureau and another civilian Mustapha Modu, driving a truck conveying relief materials.
The driver who drove the truck conveying Nigerian Police, Sergeant Mwada Kabura, was injured and truck was also drove to an un-known destination with unconfirmed number of policewomen abducted during the attack.
In the 17 minutes, 25 second video sent to a Journalist with Salkida.com, showed footages of the fierce attack on the Maiduguri-Damboa road and still images of the abducted women while Shekau speaks for about 10 minutes.
Shekau in the video said “I want to tell you that we are the one that attacked the convoy, here are the vehicles for all to witness, we are the ones that abducted the female police officers, in fact, they are senior female police officers.
What we did is nothing when compared to our women, children, and friends that have been wiped out or arrested for many years by the Nigerian government. We only abducted them to serve as slaves to us”.
