The General Overseer of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo has warned the federal and state governments against their attempt to compel secondary school students of Christian backgrounds to offer Islamic Studies.
Bishop Oyedepo gave this warning after an emergency meeting of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, held in Lagos on Thursday.
The Cleric while addressing newsmen at the after the meeting at the PFN Headquarters in Isolo, Lagos, said government had no right to force subjects on anybody.
According to Bishop Oyedepo, by stopping Christian Religion Studies CRS, at the Senior Secondary School level, it automatically meant that it would not be embraced at the tertiary institutions.
