As 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroon draws closer, the former Coach of the Flying Eagles Tunde Disu has advised Rohr not to under rate the Elephant of Cameroon based on their poor performance in the on-going FIFA Confederations Cup.
Disu said that the national team coach will be making a great mistake if he believes his Cameroonian counterpart; Hugo Broos will be parading the same squad he took to Russia for the Confederation Cup
Disu in his words said “If we heard what the Cameroon coach said after the team crashed out of the Confederation Cup you will know that he would make changes. But the team that went to Russia was not as bad as the results; things could change against the Eagles”
According to Disu, Eagles have to shrug off the 2-0 loss against South Africa in Uyo and focus on the match against Cameroon because it is going to be a difficult match.
The former Flying Eagles who expressed his worry over the Super Eagles squad having very few offensive-minded midfielders said the team’s attack was ineffective. “Mikel, Ndidi, Onazi all are defensive midfielders and it is affecting the team. They should show more aggressiveness and perfect their attacking play in order to become an all-conquering team
