Gist reaching Inside Sources now revealed that the Anambra State Police Command have arrested a 24-year-old woman for selling her baby and buying a motorcycle with the proceeds of the sale.
The 24-year-old Oluchi Emeobi and her partner in crime was arrested on the 8 of July for allegedly selling her two-month-old baby for the sum of N250, 000 and using the money to buy a motorcycle for herself.
According to report, the child traders were arrested following a tip off from one of Oluchi’s friend who beg to remain anonymous after they connived to sell the baby to a female child trafficker identified as First Lady who is now at large.
The Anambra State Commissioner of Police Garba Umar while parading Oluchi and her partner Nchedoch Richard, 26 alongside other suspected criminals said they were arrested by Police detectives attached to the Nnewi Police Division.
According to Umar, Emeobi allegedly reported at the police station that she left her baby with a yet to be ascertained woman who absconded with the baby but it was discovered during investigation that she actually sold her baby to the said woman and used the proceed to buy herself a motorcycle.
