LAGOS LG POLL: PDP REMAINS IN THE RACE

Contrary to the rumor going on via some social platforms that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lagos has pulled out of the forthcoming LG election in the State, Otunba Segun Adewale has dispelled such hearsay describing it as the handy work of PDP’s enemies.

Aeroland in a statement said following the Supreme Court judgment on July 12th and in the spirit of true reconciliation, Hon Moshood Salvador too has agreed to supports all the PDP candidates for the election.

“I was at the LASIEC office today as a PDP elder. The list of the candidates submitted by the Chairman, Otunba Segun Adewale remains as there is no window to substitute candidates again. Truly, the Supreme Court delivered a judgement in favour on Senator Ahmed Markafi, but it is no longer possible for LASIEC to replace candidates’ names. We have all agreed to allow those candidates go into the election as one of the panaceas for peace like what happened in Osun State during the just concluded senatorial election” Salvador stated.

The chairman collaborated Hon Salvador’s position saying PDP Lagos has not pulled out of the coming local government election.  “Our deputy chairman, Hon Olorunoje represented me today at the LASIEC office and agreed with Hon Salvador that our party is going on with the list of candidates submitted since there no longer window for LASIEC to change any name. It is not true that we are pulling out. It is handwork of mischief makers. “

“We hereby urge our candidates to remain resolute. We want to urge Lagosians to troop out enmass July 22 and vote out the APC cluelessness from the grassroots by voting for the PDP”.
