ABA POLICE KILLED 2 KIDNAPPERS WHILE NEGOTIATING VICTIMS RELEASE

The operative of the Abia state command of the Nigerian Police Force has shot dead a  four-man armed robbery and kidnaping group who has been terrorizing Aba and its environs for some time now.

According to sources the incident happened on Wednesday at Ovungwu, Isiala-Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State when the gang was negotiating for with the relatives of one of their victims.

Inside Sources gathered that the syndicate had on July 18, 2017, in Osisioma Ngwa abducted the Managing Director of Mba Hotels Aba Mr. Onyemaechi Mbamaonyeukwu Ijeoma in his ash colour Nissan Infinity SUV with Reg. No. GWA 807 DH and held him hostage in an uncompleted building at Umuajuju Ovungwu, Isiala Ngwa South local government area of the state and had proceeded into negotiating for a ransom to be paid before he could be released.

Police swung into action following a tip off that the gang members where sharing the proceed of the operation at the uncompleted building.

The gang opened fire on sighting the police shooting sporadically to disperse from gaining access into their hideout.

During the gun battle, two of the kidnappers who were later identified as Nwadibia and Monday were gunned down while others escaped with series of bullet wounds while one of the detectives also sustained injuries

The victim was rescued unhurt and items recovered include the victim’s SUV, two motorcycles, and four GSM phones.
