Inside Sources has authoritatively gathered that Unite Kingdom. International news, analysis and information radio BBC World Service has launched a new language service in Pidgin English for its West and Central Africa base audience.
Pidgin English according to findings is one of the most widely-spoken languages across the West and Central African region, even though it is not officially recognized.
The launch according to reports is part of the BBC’s World Service’s biggest expansion since 1940, following a government funding boost in 2016.
Pidgin will soon be joined by 10 more new services in Africa and Asia, Inside Sources gathered.
