OJO CHENEMI RENEWS RESOLVE

In yet another of her creative solutions, the Kogi State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Mrs. Rosemary OjoChenemi hinted on her renewed resolve to clean up the state by introducing a new sanitation program tagged ‘operation keep Kogi clean’.

This is being arranged in conjunction with the Kogi State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria [NYCN]. The program which kicks off Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 6:30am will set motion from the Kogi Youth house, phase one junction, Lokongoma, Lokoja.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner’s involvement of the energetic youths has been described as a real step which is definitely result oriented. Many also believe it will consolidate the gains from earlier programs of the MENR such as community and stakeholders’ participation which is ‘increasingly yielding good results’.

In a brief chat with the commissioner, she called on all and sundry to support the ministry’s efforts at making Kogi state an environmentally friendly state.
